Cuando hablamos de los modismos encontramos con frases como esta “I have hit the books”, la cual al traducir de manera literal resulta “debo golpear los libros” y seguro te suena bastante extraño, ¿verdad?, sin embargo, al traducir esta frase de forma correcta en realidad quiere decir “yo debo estudiar”. Aunque no lo creas los modismos son muy cotidianos en el idioma inglés y por ende muy utilizados por los angloparlantes.
